“Po’ Gabi’s”

Well, tonight I made roast beef po’ boys.

Highlights include a no-gravy person asking for more gravy and everyone seemingly genuinely impressed – and advocating the opening of Po’ Gabi’s – open till 3am – my very own po’ boy counter along the beach, just in the right proximity to all those drunkards so they can stumble out of the bars and pay too much for a salty, saucy sandwich. Yes! But, of course, my sandwich would be totally worth it.

Also, as is the customary measurement for how good a po’ boy is, a napkin, chin, and forearm tally was taken – chins had gravy running down them, forearms and hands were washed to the elbows post-consumption, and napkins were used generously. I even went one step further and had gravy liberally applied all over my face. And there is photo evidence.
